It’s often said that the capacity to feel and love is unique to human beings.

But what is love, really? Science might say it is a simple cocktail of neurotransmitters and hormones that produce a feeling of attachment to other beings. If so, why should the ability to love be unique to humans? Many animals have mouths, noses and eyes, just like us.
